We share 103 common ancestors on WikiTree. I guess we can call each other cousin.

I have some of the Rafanel/Rafnel family pieces of the puzzle. In fact, today is the anniversary of Augustus and Hannah's daughter, Sarah's wedding anniversary, 1841 07/04. She would die the following year after giving birth to a son. Both he and his father, Eleazer Moore, enlisted to fight in the CW in 1861. Neither survived, both died as POWs at different places. I found their records. To add to the tragedy of the little family, Eleazer died on the birthday of his departed wife Sarah. Then in 60's my guess is that it was a symbolic gesture....he probably walked across the 'dead line' and was shot dead. His son, is buried at Andersonville.

I'll email my extensive notes to anyone willing to post them for others.........George Hooper 111 [email address removed]
