Ithamar Rowley, son of Ebenezer Rowley and Susannah Annable, was born 1 Jan 1753 Chatham, Middlesex County, Connecticut which later became East Hampton. [1]
He served during the Revolutionary War out of Chatham, as a Private in 1st Lt. David Smith's Co., Col. Belden's Regiment.[2]
He married Dimmis Gates on May 5, 1779, at the Congregational Church, Chatham. Rev. Lemuel Parsons, officiating.[3]

He appeared on the 1790 U.S. Census in Chatham, Middesex, Connecticut showing 124-00[6] He was then enumerated on the 1810[7] and 1820[8] U.S. Censuses in Sharon, Schoharie, New York.
He made his will in Sharon, Schoharie, New York on 30 Dec 1825 and it was probated in Schoharie, New York on 12 Mar 1830 naming his children.[5]
He died on 16 Feb 1830 (aged 77) in Sharon, Schoharie County, New York, and was buried in Zion Rural Cemetery, Seward, Schoharie County, New York. His grave bears a DAR marker.[9]
