Thomas Rowley was born in 1794 at Sydney Cove, Colony of New South Wales, son of Thomas Rowley and Elizabeth Selwyn.
Baptism: Thomas was baptised on 5 September 1794 at St. Phillip's Church of England, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The church register recorded: Thomas natural son of Lieutenant Thomas Rowley, and Elizabeth Selwin, born 12 August 1794.[1]
Property: On 18 July 1804 he was granted 700 acres at Holsworthy, New South Wales.
Marriage: Thomas Rowley married Catherine Clarkson on 27 February 1818
at Christ Church, Church of England, Castlereagh, New South Wales (Banns by Henry Fulton. Witnesses were Joseph Baylis and Ann Baylis).[2] They had at least the following known children:
