Biography

Nathan was born in 1700[1] [sic],[2] the son of Nathan Rowley and Mercy Hatch. This Nathan is Matthew's brother[3].

Nathan possibly married first ca 1720 Mary Unknown and had Anah Rowley (later Fuller) and William Rowley.[2] He married Hannah Robinson in Falmouth on 24 Nov 1726. He was baptized 21 Nov 1742 in Falmouth and died before 4 May 1763 in Falmouth.

Research Note

In his Rowley article,[4] Brainard includes a second wife Mary and two additional children for this Nathan's father, Nathan Sr. No proof has been found to prove that this wife and children belong to the father or to this Nathan. As the elder Nathan would have been 56-60 at the time of the births of the children, it is more likely that it was his son, who would have been 20-24, that was the father and that is where the General Society of Mayflower Descendants places them, with the word "possible" before each of them.[2]

Rowley-2512 and Rowley-561 are not ready to be merged because: Sure would like to merge these two, but I don't see anything that I can use to confirm the match.
