Her parents married on 18 Sept 1797 in St-Constant, her father being son of Joseph Roy and Marie Viau dite Lespérance; her mother being daughter of Charles Leriger dit Delaplante/Laplante and Véronique Saint-Yve

she remarries on 26 May 1862 in St-Michel-de-Napierville (in southern part of Quebec) with Jean Bédard, widower of Geneviève Sicotte
