It is our painful duty to chronicle the demise of an old and respectable citizen of our Parish, - Mr. Jean Baptiste Roy, who died at his plantation, on the 1st inst., from a apoplexy, at the age of 61 years.

A numerous family, and large circle of friends will mourn his loss.

It also appears that he was a Confederate soldier, more research needed to confirm this is the correct Jean B Roy or Jean Bte RoyWhitaker-2830 14:45, 14 April 2018 (UTC)
