DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Ephraim by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Ephraim:
June 25, 1775, Elizabeth Randall married Ephraim Rucker in Orange County, Virginia. Does anyone know which Ephraim Rucker this would be and who Elizabeth Randall is? I'm researching the Randalls of Orange County, VA.
Billie, I think this profile documents Ephraim's lineage. The Rucker line is very well documented. This is Peter Rucker => James Rucker=>Ephraim Rucker. Peter Rucker is the original Rucker immigrant. You can find out more about the Ruckers at the http://www.theruckerfamilysociety.org.
I reviewed The Rucker Family Genealogy by Sudie Rucker Woods, and found nothing about the lineage of Elizabeth Randall, nor were there references to any other Randalls.
I can't speak for the Randall side. I am suspicious, though, whenever I see someone during the colonial era, whose roots are in Massachusetts, marry someone in Virginia, so I have my doubts about Elizabeth's parentage as documented in wikitree.
