He was the son of Jacob Rudolph and Judith (Yocum) Rudolph. He married Elizabeth "Betsee" Ream on May 23, 1798 at the Reformed Church, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Married in the German Reformed Church, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania date l isted in the St Matthew Church records in Sugar Grove was 1794. It stat ed 13 children blessed this marriage. He came along with his father-in-law from Reamstown, Pa., to Fairfield County, Ohio in 1798
