Black Sea Germans
Wilhelm Rueb was a Black Sea German.

Wilhelm Rueb was born 22 October 1866 in Hoffnungstal, Kherson, Russia to Johann Andreas Rüb and Louise Klotz.[1]

"Wilhelm was a blacksmith in Hoffnungstal. He made the metal parts for the wagons built by his brother Johannes, both living together in the former Conradt yard. After Wilhelm's marriage, the yard was divided, and Wilhelm took the front half facing lthe church. In 1905 they both sold out to Gottfried Harsch and left for the United States. In the late 1930s the front building became a restaurant and the rear house a hardware and clothing store."[1]
