Biography

Mary was baptized at All Saints, Sudbury, Suffolk, 16 March 1619/20. She was the daughter of John Ruggles and Frances Unknown. She passed away about the end of January 1630/1, Boston, Massachusetts Bay Colony[1]

"Amongst those who Dyed about the end of this Ianuary, there was a Girl of Eleven Years Old, the Daughter of one Iohn Ruggles, who in the time of her Sickness, expressed to the Minister, and those about her, so much Faith and Assurance of Salvation, as is rarely found in any of that Age; which I thought not unworthy here to commit to memory: and if any tax me for wasting paper with Recording these small matters; such may consider, that small things in the beginning of natural or politick Bodies, are as remarkable as greater, in Bodies full grown."[2]
