Biography
Mary Ann (Magdalena) Rugh was born in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania about 1832.(16703) The 1850 US census shows her at age 18 living with her parents in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Her April 1857 marriage record also indicates she had been previously living with her parents in Hempfield Township. The 1860 US census shows her as "Mary Ward" at age 28 living in her mother's household with her son William Ward in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. She died on January 6, 1912.(16704) On April 16, 1857 in Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania she married William Ward at The First Ev. Lutheran Church.(16705) William Ward was born about 1829.
