Susan Rugh was born about October 19, 1834 in Ohio, United States, daughter of Christopher Rugh (1806–1885) and Margaret Fraise (1815–~1876).
Susan married James Hall (born on September 23, 1823 in New York, United States).
In the 1850 census Susan (age 15) was in Carmel Township, Eaton, Michigan, United States.[1] Christopher Rugh 43, Margaret Rugh 31, Susan Rugh 15, Elizabeth Rugh 13, Jacob Rugh 10, Jane Rugh 8, George Rugh 5, William Rugh 3.
In the 1860 census Susan (age 22) was in Lansing Township, Ingham, Michigan, United States.[2] James Hall 37, Susan J Hall 22, Philander Hall 3, Viola Hall 1.
In the 1870 census Susan (age 34) was in Carmel Township, Eaton, Michigan, United States.[3] James Hall 47, Susan Hall 34, Philander Hall 13, Viola Hall 11, George Hall 8, Freddy Hall 6, Charles Hall 4.
In the 1880 census Susan (age 45), Keeping House, was the wife of James Hall in Brookfield, Eaton, Michigan, United States.[4] James Hall 58, wife Susan Hall 45, father-in-law Christopher Rugh 73, sister-in-law Emma Rugh 19, son George B. Hall 18, son Freddie C. Hall 16, son Charles W. Hall 14, son Arthur E. Hall 8, daughter Hattie Jane Hall 5.
Susan died on July 24, 1910 in Eaton, Michigan, United States, aged about 76. She was buried in Perry Cemetery, Charlotte, Michigan.[5][6]
