Jacomina (Ruine) Demarest was a Huguenot emigrant (1540-1790).
Jacomina DeRuine was born in 1652 in Landrecies, Nord, France, to Simon De Ruyns and Magdalena Van Derstraaten. She married Jean (John) Des Marets on September 9, 1668, in New York. They had 11 children in 18 years. She died on March 4, 1692, in Hackensack, New Jersey, at the age of 40.

As her father's last name at birth is "de Ruine" I do not understand why the profile "Ruine-1" is ppp protected for the upcoming merge. Logically, it should be "de Ruine" or "DeRuine" so the Index has her with her father's genealogy.

Deruine-34 and Ruine-1 appear to represent the same person because: This is the oldest maternal ancestor in this chain in need of a merge into the NNS PPP. No tree conflicts. Thanks!
