Biography

Ann was born before 1819. She is the daughter of Jane and James Rule and Jane. She was christened on 31 Oct 1819 in Workington, Cumbria, England. She married Anthony Penrice, son of Edward Penrice, in Liverpool at Toxteth Park, St John the Baptist, Lancashire, England in 1846. I have seen a scan of the marriage certificate which confirms her father to be a cabinet maker named James Rule and gives Ann’s Residence at the time of the marriage as Wellington Road, Toxteth Park.
