Philip, again with the proviso you are who I suspect you are, it was the entry level yDNA y37 test, which can only show you your direct paternal line back to genetic Adam.
FTDNA's FamilyFinder test only arrived in 2010 and we couldn't even access Ancestry tests until later than that.
These days, even for direct paternal lines, you can get much more information, if you are interested in upgrading that to BigY.
Here's what the "other" Borders Runciman family connections currently look like - they are a completely different branch from yours from memory
https://discover.familytreedna.com/groups/runciman/tree?subgroups=26283
But yes, Ancestry's test will give you much more close connections on all lines of your ancestry.
If you are who I suspect you may be, do remember to add your dna test to your profile.
I've noticed in the past that several of your line are already here, so do link up to them to take advantage of the wonderful dna links WikiTree adds to connected profiles.
Regards
Lorna
