William was born on 23 June 1843. He was the son of John Rundle and Mary Constantine.
In 1851 William was 9, living in Brock County, Ontario West with his parents John, 59 and Mary, 49, Rundle. His siblings were John, 22, a Labourer; Caroline, 16; Jane, 13 and Louisa, 12. All were born in England except William, the first of the family born in Canada, Upper Canada[1].
In 1861 William, 17 is living with his family, farming in Brock. They are his parents John,65, a Farmer, and Mary, 63 and their children John, 31; Jane, 22 and Louisa 20[2].
Maria married William Henry Rundle on 1 Jan 1968 in Whitby[3].
In 1871 Maria, 29, and William H. Rundle, 29, are living in Brock, Ontario North with their daughter Rose Leta, 1. They are living next door to John, 73, and Mary Rundle, 70, and their children, and also next door to Edward, 46 and Joanna Rundle, 34, and their children, all Farmers.[4].
In 1881 Maria and William are still in Brock, North Ontario. William's occupation is Agent. Maria's brother Silas, 26, is living with them. Mariah and William's children are Rosaletta U. Rundle, 11; Susanah L. Rundle, 9; Anna L. Rundle, 8; William F. Rundle, 6; John Wesley Rundle, 4 and Charles A. Rundle, 2. They must have moved from the farm as the neighbours are different[5][6].
In 1891 Maria and William are still in Brock, North Ontario. William's occupation is Farmer. Mariah and William's children are Laura Rundle, 19; Annie Rundle, 18; Franklin Rundle, 17; Wesley J Rundle, 15; Charles A. Rundle, 22 and Bertha M. Rundle, 8[7].
In 1901 Maria and William are still in Brock, North Ontario. William's occupation is Farmer. Mariah and William's children are Laura Rundle, 29; Charles A. Rundle, 22 and Bertha M. Rundle, 18[8].
In 1911 Maria, 70 and William, 69, retired famer, are living on Bigelow St., Port Perry, Ont. with Bertha, 28, who is in sales[9][10].
William died of pernicious anemia on 8 February 1921. He was living on Bigelow St, Port Perry. His father's name was John, but his mother's name is not recorded. He was buried on 12 Feb 1921 in Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert, Ontario[11][12].
