On March 10th, 1844 Daniel Harmon married Emariah Runyon in Pike, Kentucky.
Page 135, "Marriage Bonds of Pike County, Kentucky 1822 - 1865" by Clyde Runyon (1984) says that the marriage license was issued March 5, 1844 by John D. Mims Clerk who certified that orial consent for the marriage was given by Thomas Harris, Guardian for Emeriah.
Emeriah Runyon's mother was Martha Harris (relationship to Thomas Harris unknown). Why her father Adam Runyon, Jr. did not give the consent is unknown, but he was at the time married to Wealthy Aldridge, and he may have been living in Martin County, Kentucky at that time.
During the 1850 US Census:
Daniel Harman, age 35, was living in Logan county, part of, Logan, Virginia, with his wife, Elmira Harman, age 24, and their children,
Henry W Harman, son, age 9
James A Harman, son, age 5
Allen B Harman, son, age 1
Thomas Harman, son, age 1
Uriah Runyon, son, age 17
All family members were born in Virginia. Daniel's occupation is Tailor. Emariah cannot read and write. Henry and James attended school during the year.
During the 1860 US Census:
Daniel Harmon, age 45, was living in Logan County, Virginia, with his wife, Emmariah Harmon, age 34, and their children,

David was born in Virginia and all other family members in Kentucky. The Postal Office is located in Louisa. David's occupation is Farmer, Emeriah is Keeping House, Uriah and Napoleon are Farm Laborerd, and Florence is at home. David's Real Estate is valued at $600 and his Personal Estate at $160. David and Uriah can read and write. Uriah attended school during the year.
Living next door is Allen Harmon (age 23), and wife Mary J. Harmon. Next door to Allen is brother, Thomas Harmon (age 21), with wife Elizabeth and their son, Henry. Next door to Thomas is brother, Henry Harmon (age 28) with wife, Nancy, and children John and Eliza. Allen, Thomas and Henry are sons of David and Emeriah.

Emeriah, now widowed, was born in West Virginia and all other family members in Kentucky. Emeriah's parents and the father of her children were born in VA. Edward and Effie's father was born in WV, and their mother in KY. James and Benjamin's parents were born in KY.
Emeriah and Florence's occupation is keeping house, Uriah, Napoleon and John each Works on Farm. Uriah is divorced. Emeriah cannot read and write, and Napoleon can read but cannot write. Uriah and Florence can read and write.

Emmariah is widowed and she has birthed 11 children and 4 are living. Charley and Effie Smith have been married for 7 months. Effie has birthed 2 children and they are living. Eddie and Wildie Harmon have been married for 1 month. Wildie has not birthed any children.
Emmariah's occupation is Farmer, Charley and Eddie are Farm Hands. Emmariah can read but cannot write. Charley, Effie, Eddie, and Wildie can read and write.
