My maternal line tracks back through Acadia to France through my maternal grandmothers.
My great-great grandfather Christian Amundson changed is surname from Amundson to Running at the courthouse in Veroqua, Wisconsin some time after he immigrated from Norway.
I have linked autosomal DNA results from Ancestry and Family Tree DNA, and mitochondrial and Y-DNA results from Family Tree DNA to help with research. I'm always happy to meet new family!
My grandfather's uncle took the surname Esplee when he immigrated from Norway.
My maternal great-great grandfather was a Siercke from Germany. My maternal great-great grandmother was a Saless (or Salasses) with lineage that traces back through Acadia to France, and includes German ancestors in Charlemagne's lineage.
My great-great grandmother Sarah Harriet Saless had a daughter Mary Rose Keagan with her first husband, Nicholas Keagan. Mary Rose married a Harrington.
My maternal grandfather was a Brennan from Ireland. My maternal grandfather's mother was a Healy from Ireland.
My grandfather's uncle and father took the name Listol (also spelled Listal) when they immigrated from Norway.
The majority of my ancestry is Norwegian. Both my paternal grandparents were Norwegian, and my maternal grandfather was Norwegian.
My mother's maiden name was Olson.
Ostrom was my paternal grandmother's surname.
Running is my father's surname.
