Biography

Clara was born on the 24th July 1892 in Islington, Middlesex the daughter of Walter George Runtz (1862 - 1919) and Clara (Whitelaw) Runtz (1866 - 1946).^[1][2][3]

1901 Census on the 31st March 1901 Clara was living at 56 Florence Road, Hornsey, Middlesex with her parents Walter and Clara and her sister Sylvia. His late mother's sister Caroline Clements was also living there.^[4]

1911 Census on the 2nd April 1911 Clara was living at Claremont, Clifford Road, New Barnet, Middlesex with her parents Walter and Clara and her sisters Sylvia and Marjorie. His late mother's sister Caroline Clements was also living there.^[5]

In the 1921 census Clara (age 28), Typist Civil Service, was the single daughter of Clara Runtz on Claremont Clifford Road, New Barnet, East Barnet & Barnet Vale, Middlesex, England.^[6]

1939 National Register on the 29th September 1939 Clara a Civi Servant clerical officer in the Money Order Department, was living at 127 Leicester Road, East Barnet, Hertfordshire with her sister Marjorie.^[3]

Clara, of 74 Hillside Gardens, Barnet, Hertfordshire, died aged 83 on the 11th December 1976 and her death was registered in the 4th quarter 1976 in Barnet, Hertfordshire.^[7]

Probate of Clara's estate, £13536, was processed on the 21st March 1977 in Brighton, Sussex.^[8]
