Christina and her family were among the first settlers of Grimm in 1767, as they appear in the first Grimm census. Despite this, she and her family do not appear in the Kulberg List of German immigrants to Russia,
[1]
nor do they appear in the Transportation List that documents the travelers from Saint Petersburg to the Volga region of Russia.
[2]
Head of the Household August Hartmann/Erdmann Rusch, age 70, Lutheran farmer from Pommern
Spouse Katharina Engel, age 40
Child #1 Ernst Christian, age 26 [sic]
Child #2 August Hartmann, age 12 years 6 months
Child #3 Christina, age 8
Her oldest brother, Ernst Christian, was born in Wulkenzin.
[4]
I have entered that as her birth place in the vital stats area above, since that is more localized than Pommern. It is a good starting point when looking for a record of her birth or baptism.
Christina does not appear with her family in the 1775 Grimm census.
[5]
She would have been about 16 or 17 that year and was probably married and living with another family.
