He is not specifically mentioned in the 1775 census, but his children are: Anna Pavlova Rusch Rusch-93 and Adam Rusch Rusch-92. His children were listed as orphans in the 1775 census and were taken in by Johann and Angelina Braun. It is not yet known if the Brauns were related to the Rusch's, like an aunt and uncle, or if they were just kind strangers.
Anna Barbara Rusch was born in 1759, probably in or around Schlitz, Hessen, Germany. Her family immigrated to Russia in 1766, but her parents did not survive the trip from St. Petersburg to the Volga River region. She and her brother Johann Adam were taken in by Andreas Braun and his wife Dorothea. The couple had a young son the same age as her brother.

Michael Rusch most likely perished along with his wife as they immigrated from Germany to the Volga Region in Russia.
Michael's birth year and place are estimated, based on the immigration information given to Russian officials regarding his children. Those details are subject to change if new information is discovered and confirmed.
