Biography
Georgina was born about 1848 in St. Andrews. She is the daughter of John Rush and Jane Russell. She was baptised in Erith, Kent in 1849. [1] In 1851, they lived in Bexley, Kent. [2] Her father died in 1853. In 1871, she lived in Streatham, Wandsworth with her grandmother, her aunt Frances Fisher and her sister Edith. The Rush girls were orphans dependent on their grandmother. [3] Bertha served as a witness to the marriage of her cousin, Ada Harriet Kennedy to Reginald Cox at Weston Super Mare, Surrey on 29 Apr 1873.
