DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Michael or other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Michael:

It's time for the One Place Studies Project Check-In!

We've put together a survey for you to fill out to check in with you, it will only take a moment as there are only a few questions. Filling out the survey lets us know you are still interested in coordinating your study and provides an opportunity for you to share any suggestions you may have for the project.

If you have decided to step away from your study, please reply to this comment to that effect.

Hi Michael:

Ron Fritz here, I just wanted to let you know that on your site you incorrectly list Mary Schlegel as the mother of my great grandfather, John Schlegel. His mother was Isabella Decker. Could you please change this to reflect that fact. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Hope you are doing well. Ron Fritz, Brooklyn, OH

Hi Michael,

Have you ever considered participating in one of WikiTree's Connect-A-Thons? It's a great opportunity to add new profiles, whether they are extended family members or someone who fits into your Erie County New York project. (By the way, I one lived in North Tonawanda.) The next Connect-A-Thon will run from Friday, April 22nd to Monday, April 25th.

I want to personally invite you to join the Mid-Atlantic Team because of your interest in New York research. If you are interested in participating, you can sign up in the G2G forum registration post (https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/1392037) and add another badge to your collection. Hope you'll consider joining the fun!

Hi Michael,

Two profiles you edited need some further attention: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Geyer-952 and https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Phelinger-5. Please edit the cemetery category. I left comments on the pages regarding the needed changes. Thanks for adding categories.

Michael, hope all is well with you. If you have no objections, I will be adding sourcing to Hettie Ellen Showalter, Showalter-892. This is one of the profiles you manage. Thank-you.

Can you provide sources for the recent change to Matthews-2627? A few of us who’re descended from Aaron and James (DNA confirmed brothers) had been looking into it for a while but hadn’t found any evidence of Thomas being the father. Based on his detailed will, that particular Thomas (the one in Halifax Co NC) doesn’t appear to be the father of Aaron or this particular James. For reference, see http://southernmatthews.com/1700s-1850s_desc_thomsr.html . I believe that given the DNA evidence that James and Aaron are brothers that this profile should return to Unknown First Name.

I see you added the DNA tag to your profile. Here are a few links & tips to help you along in the journey of WikiTree and DNA.

It's not hard to add DNA test information to profiles on WikiTree, just make sure you add the tests to the actual test participant's profile & set the Privacy to ‘Private w/ Public Biography & Family Tree’ to show the tester's part of our tree. For help see  How to DNA on WikiTree

Here's a great YouTube video with all sorts of questions answered Getting Started with DNA.

Please double check the GEDmatch ID #s in your DNA confirmation statement. It looks like your ID should read T815133, and R. Langgood's should read A450962. The statement should also be changed on these profiles: Russ-341 and Langgood-1. Thanks!

I created the category for Concordia as I know there was interest in that cemetery also.

I see you already added a lot of people! I think there is a lot of information available for this cemetery. I believe Jillaine Smith did a lot of work with it.
