Biography
William Russell was born the 28th of October, 1691, at Dartmouth, Bristol County, Massachusetts Bay, the son of Jonathan Russell & Hasadiah Smith.[1]
William married Elizabeth Wilbor, the "fifteenth day of ye month Called November in the year according to ye English account one thousand seven hundred and thirty nine...".[2]
William & Elizabeth's children include William Jr., Joseph, Charles, Bathsheba (Barsheba), Ami, Meribah & Lillis. Their births, save Bathsheba, are recorded at Dartmouth.[3]
They are also mentioned in William's Last Will & Testament, as well as his wife, Elizabeth:[4]
- Meribah Russell, born the 30th of January, 1740-41.
- Amie Russell, born the 28th of March, 1742.
- Lillis Russell, (twin) born the 17th of October, 1744.
- Charles Russell, (twin) born the 17th of October, 1744.
- William Russell, born the 16th of August, 1746.
- Joseph Russell, born the 29th of May, 1751.
- Bathsheba Russell, was born circa 1753, based on her marriage date.
William died between the 24th of September, 1756 & 3rd of November, 1756, the date he signed his Will & the date an inventory was ordered on his estate. He was of Dartmouth in his Will & his brother James was a witness.[4]

Utilizing the WikiTree Relationship Finder tool, I have been able to determine that they were cousins to this William (Russel) Russell.

As I stated in my private email response to you, thank you for clarifying the issue with the surname Wilbore/Wilbor/Wilbur... etc.
However, your behavior in Elizabeth & William's profile is unacceptable.
There was a proposed merge between the two Elizabeths over a month ago by LK LaPlante & you never got involved. Nor did you do any work in any of the 4 profiles (two Elizabeths & two William Russells) since their creation... in 2014 & 2019. Yet, when I claim managerial rights (the 16th & the 19th) & complete the outstanding Elizabeth merge, you take it upon your self rework Elizabeth & William's profiles. Not only is it disrespectful of you to jump into profiles that someone has just begun to work with, you deleted notes, you changed & deleted formatting & added multiple, duplicate secondary sources...
No doubt you are still holding on to your resentment about our incident in January, where you repeatedly changed the calendar corrected wedding date of John Russell Jr. to the un-calendar corrected wedding date. At that time, I simply asked you to explain why you had done this... repeatedly. I also stated it was rude & disrespectful to nitpick others edits & formatting, which you did in January & have done again now. In anger, you posted in John's profile, you would not participate in John's profile any longer (note now deleted). That was your choice. You even posted a note in G2G (now, also deleted).
I can do nothing about your resentment. I do not participate in Wikitree to entertain drama. Please refrain from this disrespectful behavior.
