ANDREW RUSSELL

GLOUSTER--Andrew (Jack) Russell, 53, of Glouster, died unexpectedly in Mount St. Mary Hospital Thursday night.

Born in Athens County, he was a son of the late Bert and Matilda Russell. He was a foreman for the Eagle Construction Co. prior to retirement. Mr. Russell was a member of the Glouster Church of Christ, the Glouster Masonic Lodge 607 and the Order of Eastern Star 192, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Vallen of Columbus, and was a 32nd degree Mason. He was also a member of the McCann-Frederick Post of the American Legion, the Disabled American Veterans of Athens and was veteran of both WWII and the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Wahnetta Jewell Russell; a daughter, Mrs. Jacquelyn Taylor, Canal Winchester; a son Glenn, at home; two grandchildren, three brothers, Henry and Carl, both of Miamisburg, and Wilfred of Glouster; three sisters, Mrs. Lulu Bernard, Miamisburg; Mrs. Mary Fitzpatrick, Citrus, FL, and Mrs. Beulay North, Glouster. A brother preceded him in death.

Services will be Sunday, 2 p.m. in the Glouster Church of Christ with Mr. Don Seevers officiating. Burial will be in Glouster Cemetery. Masonic rites will be 8 p.m. Saturday and the McCann-Frederick Post of the Legion will meet at 1 p.m. Sunday to attend the funeral.
