Biography
Sarah Amy Russell was born on Saturday, February 26, 1887, in Lockhart Township, Pike County, Indiana. Her parents were Robert F. Russell (Saturday, August 15, 1857 - Thursday, March 9, 1933) and Barbara Ellen Alkire Russell (Friday, August 3, 1861 - Saturday, June 4, 1938).
On Thursday, November 15, 1906, in Pike County, Indiana, Amy married John Frank Heacox (Tuesday, June 19, 1888 - Friday, August 4, 1967). They had one child, a daughter, Jewell F. Heacox Stracenor (Tuesday, October 20, 1908 - Wednesday, December 11, 1996). Amy's husband was a locomotive fireman on a steam railroad.
Sarah's second husband was James Erwin Lear (Sunday, October 9, 1881, in Edmond, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma) - Sunday, June 29, 1952). They married on Sunday, March 2, 1914, in McAlester, Pittsburg County, Oklahoma. They had no children.
Sarah married Theo Austin on Sunday, July 5, 1953, in Carthage, Jasper County, Missouri. Sarah was sixty-six years of age, Theo was sixty-five years of age.
On Thursday, February 25, 1960, Sarah, age seventy-two, married James Henry Potter, age fifty-eight, at Carthage, Jasper County, Missouri.
On Sunday, June 13, 1971, Sarah Amy passed away in Carthage, Jasper County, Missouri.
