Biography

The family original name Rusnak has multiple spelling in the records. These include Rusnick, Rusiniak, Rushnock and was Anglicized into Russell. I cannot pin down exactly when this occurred or if it was even done by legal paperwork. Records give various locations for birth but believe he was of Slovak origin. and is of Rusyns ethnicity.
