Biography
Reuben married second wife in Knox Co. on 12 Aug 1851, PHEBE (RUSSELL) LINDSEY whose daughter Arvilla married his son, Abraham. Phebe was born 17 Nov 1797 in Dutchess Co., New York, probably a daughter of William and Patience (Duel) Russell. She had several children by her first husband, Rowland Lindsey, who married her in Mason Co., Virginia on 19 Aug 1819 and died 18 Oct 1843 in Knoxville, IL. Reuben died 30 May 1854 in Knoxville. Phebe may have married again, to P. Smayers, before she died after 26 Sep 1869.
