Charles was born in 1791 and was baptised in Burwash on 13 August 1791 in the Independant non conformist Calvinist chapel in Burwash, the son of Samuel and Lydia Russell.[1]
Elizabeth Brooker married Charles Russell on 1 September 1721 in Etchingham, Sussex.[2] The witnesses were Thomas Brooker and June Marchat.
In 1841 Charles and Elizabeth are living at Cooper's Corner, Salehurst, Sussex.[3]
A Charles Russell died in June quarter 1849 aged 56.[4]
Research notes
If Charles was born in 1791 should have been 58 when he died, but perhaps his real age was unknown? We do know he had died by 1851 as Elizabeth is widowed in that census.
