Thomas Russell was baptized November 14 1761 at Walcot, St Swithin, Somerset, England.[1] It is believed that his parents were George Russell and Mary ?. Thomas married Sarah ? sometime before 1790. Thomas and Sarah had four children, who were all christened at St Swithin Church, and are listed as follows:

Charlotte Russell (baptized 11/27/1791 in Bath, Somerset, England.
James Russell (baptized 3/4/1792 in Bath, Somerset, England;
Thomas Russell (baptized 7/7/1793 in Bath, Somerset, England.

Thomas's wife was not Sarah Kelson. She did marry a Thomas Russell, but in 1760.
Possibly Thomas's wife was Sarah East, married in Bath on June 24 1788.[2]
