David Calvin Russell Jr. was born 3 February 1852 in Hope Town, Abaco, Bahamas to David Calvin Russell Sr. and Susan Mary Roberts Russell.
He married Eliza Ridler, daughter of Joseph and Frances Ridler of Apalachicola, Florida, 16 December 1874, in Apalachicola. He was her second husband. David and Eliza had two surviving daughters: Mary Rosalie Annett Wyannie Russell and Susan Frances Russell.
David Calvin Russell Jr., mariner, passed away 14 May 1919 in Hope Town, Abaco at the age of 67 years.
