She married Dr. Matthew R. Arnold of Nicholas County, Kentucky. In 1835 they removed to Boone County, Missouri.[2]
A year later her older sister, Mary Ann Bowen (Russell) Garth, and her husband Jefferson Garth, settled there as well.[3] These families were to have a positive influence on the successful establishment of Boone County.
