Biography

Prezzie Calvin Russell was born 28 Jul 1928 in Tampa, Hillsborough County, Florida. He was the son of Prezzie Calvin Russell and Irene Louise Hildreth.

He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. His highest rank attained was Sergeant. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution. His application, a scan of which may be viewed at Ancestry.com, traced his ancestry back to soldier of the American Revolution Robert Dowling.

When his father died in 1971, P. C. Russell Jr. was mentioned as one of Prezzie C. Russell's surviving sons in his obituary which was published in The Tampa Tribune.^[4]He was also mentioned as one of his mother's surviving sons in her obituary published in The Tampa Tribune after Irene Louise (Hildreth) Russell died in 1978.^[5]

Prezzie Calvin Russell passed away 11 Mar 2008 in Weirsdale, Marion County, Florida. He was buried in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Sumter County, Florida.
