Thomas Rutledge was born on 12th March 1819 at Ballymagirl, Cavan, Ireland.[1]
He married Martha Forster in 1849 at (church code CT), New South Wales.[2]
Thomas was a grazier with properties at Carwoola and Gidleigh, New South Wales, a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly (as was his brother-in-law, William Forster), and both a racehorse breeder and owner.
He passed away, aged 85 years, on 23rd November 1904 at Carwoola, New South Wales.
