Biography

Daniel B. Rutter, 89, of 1232 East Earl Road, East Earl, died Monday evening at Ephrata Community Hospital after a brief illness.

Wade was a feed mill worker at the former D.G. Weidman, East Earl. He retired in 1970.

He was a member of Cedar Grove Presbyterian Church, East Earl.

Born in Blue Ball, he was the son of the late Cyrus Newton and Ida Greener Rutter.

He was married 69 years on May 29 to Elizabeth L. Laukhuff Rutter.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son: Robert, married to Gladys Gregg Rutter of East Earl; a daughter: Betty Jane Rathman of Para- dise; three grandchildren; three step-grand- children; two great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Albert, John, Henry and George; and four sisters, Mary Sensenich, Clara Byers, Cora Ziemer and Lillie Burkey.
