- Thomas was the son of Thomas Whitby Rutter and Hannah Baker.
- His Death Notice reads:
- RUTTER, Thomas Whitby - July 23, 1977 at hospital of South Windsor and Fitzgerald Home, Windsor, husband of Ivy, loved father of Geoffrey (deceased) and Russell (deceased) dear father-in-law of Betty, loved grandfather and loved brother of Alice Jenkins and family of Pendle Hill", aged 76 years. At rest." Following a service in St. Matthew's Church of England, Windsor he was buried in the adjoining churchyard. (18L, 27).
