DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Tami or other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Tami:

P.S. To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.

Hi Cheryl,

Thanks for checking in. I've actually been a member/contributor for years. I just had an email snafu and had to create a new account. Wikitree members are always so helpful.

Thanks!

Hello Tami,,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors can be shared by many descendants, so collaboration is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

The United States Project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other possibilities. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Have questions? Ask in the comments section of my profile.

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles that you manage or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).

Hi Tami

Thank you for signing the Honor Code and for adding your DNA Test information to your profile on WikiTree. Your information will be propagated to the profiles of your parents and your ancestors within about 24 hours of being added. It will also propagate to the profiles of the descendants of your ancestors, so they may see your information under the heading "DNA Connections" just as you can see theirs.

Thank you for adding your DNA to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

Let me know if you have any questions and have fun!

Hi Tami!

The GEDCOMpare process guide has tips on how to use the data in your file most efficiently.

For those using Chrome or Opera browsers, there is a tool that can help with the formatting of profiles which have been created through GEDCOM, so that you can concentrate on the research. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.

If you have any questions about how WikiTree works, log into WikiTree and go to your profile. Use the ‘Reply’ link below my comment. Alternatively, click my name to visit my profile. From there, you can leave a comment, or send a private message.

Have fun

Hi Tami,

We’ve made some exciting changes to the Global Cemeteries Project. The sub-projects have been merged into the Global Project to help with Leadership and to facilitate collaboration.

Some roles within the project have changed. From now on, there are Project Coordinators for each continent, and one for Welcome and Integration, plus Team Leaders for each individual Country etc.

Please let me know if you’d like to stay on in the new project, if you’d like to continue in an existing role, and which team(s) you’d like to be on. Please also give me your e-mail address so that I can get you added to the project’s Google Group.

Many thanks,

Susie

Hi –

We are happy to have you as a member of WikiTree. I hope you’re enjoying being here.

I'm a member of the Mentor project, and I just wanted to check in and see how things are going. Do you have any questions I can help you with?

Shirley – WikiMentor

Hi, Tami. Please don't hesitate to propose a merge when you come across a pair of matching profiles like Beeson-1116 and Beason-528. Those two profiles are clearly intended to represent the same person, based on the birth and death data. The only discrepancy is the spelling of the last name, but that's not a significant issue for a person born before spellings were standardized. I looked him up on Ancestry.com and found a birth record that spells his and his siblings' names as Beeson, so I'm pretty confident that you could propose a merge to that name as LNAB (do include Beason as an "Other Last Name").

Hi Tami

Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles.

It looks like Mayflower and United States Cemeteries will fit with your tags.

Please visit the projects, to learn how to join, then add the project tags to your page to receive current project activity updates. .

Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)

Hello Again,

You've been a member of WikiTree for about a week now so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. Have the How-Tos been helpful or left you with questions?

I want to help! Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page or send me a private message. Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

Cindy ~ WikiTree Messenger

PS Good work so far! Have you noticed on your ancestor profiles on bottom right is "Research" where you can get sources and more information? Give it a try!

Welcome Back Tami!

You are now confirmed as a full member! Please start with our New Member How-To pages. They will save you time, energy and frustration as you add your family profiles. We are so happy to have you here in the WikiTree community!

Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile as the links will work from there. Please ask if you have any questions as I am always happy to help!

See you in the branches, Cindy ~ WikiTree Greeter

Greetings

Welcome to WikiTree! The email we just sent has helpful links to get you started on your Wikitree genealogical journey.

WikiTree differs from other genealogy websites in that our goal is to have a single profile per person, and thus we share ancestors and collaborate as a GLOBAL collective team!

What interests have guided you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into our tall and many branched tree?

When you confirm your email address, you’ll be given an opportunity to volunteer to help document our collective family history. Use the Tags and comments to tell us about your genealogical interests.

When you volunteer, one of our Greeters will confirm your membership. Then you'll be able to add your family to the tree!

We're really excited you are here!

KBA
