A GININDERRA correspondent writes respecting the demise of Mrs. William Hatch as follows :-" The deceased lady was one of the oldest residents of this district. A loving wife, a fond mother, and an hospitable and benevolent neighbour, her death is regretted by all who knew her. Though within one month of 70 years of age, she was as hearty and lithe as many twenty years her junior, and a ten years' lease could have been taken of her life.

Mrs. Hatch lived almost 51 years of wedded life, and last April celebrated her "Golden Wedding."

Mrs. Hatch is survived by one sister and two brothers— Mrs. John Wall (Taggranong), Mr. Thomas Ryan (Delegate), and Mr. Patrick Ryan (Umeralla).
In addition to the relatives mentioned in our last issue are Mr. and Mrs. Pursehouse, of Gunning.

The funeral arrangements were entrusted to Mr. Henry Lazarus, and the coffin was of beautiful polish-ed cedar,with heavy silver mountings,bearing the following inscription on the breastplate : " Margaret Nugent Hatch, died November 20th, 1904, aged 69 years." The hearse, which left " Rosewood" at 9 a.m., on Tuesday morning, was followed to the Queanbeyan cemetery by a very large concounse of sorrowing relatives and friends,there being upwards of 50 vehicles. The Rev. Father Hyland officiated at the grave.
