Biography

Nels Ryder was born on 26 Aug 1870 in Sweden.[1] and emigrated from Sweden to America, around 1892-1893.[2]

His Birth/Baptismal Record is needed

Parents in Sweden have not been identified

He married Rosetta (Siemen) Ryder (1871-1962) (i.e. "Rosa") on 13 Dec 1895 in Jo Daviess Count, Illinois.[3][1]

Seven children linked at FindaGrave are: Lawrence W Ryder (1896-abt.1977), Otto Vernon Ryder (1898-abt.1962), William Anthony Rader ?, Arvid Nels Ryder, Carson V "Casey" Ryder, Ward Oscar Ryder (abt.1911-1939), and Wayne A Ryder.[1]

In 1930, Nels (59) and Rosetta (58) and three of their children, Esther M (Ryder) Rahbar (1903-2000) (27), Carson Ryder (25), and Wayne Ryder (19) are living in Woodbine, Jo Daviess, IL.[4]

He died at age 81, on 16 Dec 1951 in Woodbine, Jo Daviess, Illinois and was buried at the Woodbine Cemetery in Woodbine, Jo Daviess, IL[1]

Being Swedish and an immigrant I expect that he may have had a patronymic and non-patronymic surname which have not been located. SWEDISH G2G needed.

BIRTH: Sweden Birth/Baptismal record is needed and will most likely need to be translated into English. Parents need to be identified as does his accurate date and location of birth.

DEATH: His Illinois Death Record is needed to substantiate, date and location.

His Swedish Birth/Baptismal record is needed to substantiate not only an accurate date and location of his birth, but his parentage with their BMD dates and any additional Swedish sources that might allow expansion of this ancestral branch. Can someone help with locating these Swedish Records?
