He started his music career as a young swing protégé ^[1] of Benny Goodman, and later eased into bebop music. He then formed his own bands, recording and touring.

Aaron Sachs married secondly about 1965 in New York City, New York, USA to Phyllis Dembo ^[2] (1930-2017), daughter of Elsie and Jacob Dembo (1898-1955).
