She was the daughter of James Sackett and Ursula Makepeace. Her father was born in New York and her mother was born in Massachusetts.[1]

Sabrina was born in New York on December 12, 1848.[2]
Marriage
David Gordon married Sabrina Jane Sackett on June 4, 1866, in Livingston, Illinois.[3]

1860 U.S. Census
At the age of eleven years, Sabrina J. Sacket is living in Pleasant Ridge, Livingston, Illinois, with her parents, James and Ursula Sacket. She has one older brother, John Henry, an older sister named Delia and four other siblings, Emma C., Jay E., Mary C and Ellen, all younger than her.[4]
1880 U.S. Census
Living in Shawnee, Cherokee, Kansas, with her husband, David Gorden, keeping house with an eleven year old son named James.[5]
1900 U.S. Census
Sabrina is a widow at the age of 52, living alone in Columbus, Kansas. She is working as a laborer and living in a rented house.[6]
1910 U.S. Census
At the age of 63, Sabrina J. Gordon is listed as divorced, owning her own home, free and clear, as the head of household, with James, her son, living with her.[7]
1920 U.S. Census
The year 1920 finds Sabrina still living in Columbus, in her home on South Indiana Avenue, with her son James who is 50 years old. Sabrina is 71 years old.[8]
1925 Kansas Census
A widow, Sabrina Gordon was living with her son, James, in Columbus, Cherokee County, Kansas. She was 77 years old and head of the household. James is 56 years old.[9]
1930 U.S. Census
Still living in the town of Columbus, in Cherokee County, Kansas, Sabrina has yet to purchase a radio. She states that she was 19 years old when she first married. Her house is valued at $4,000 and she is 82 years old. James at 61 is still living with her and she has taken in a boarder, named John W. Parr, who is 76 years old.[10]
Death and Burial
Sabrina passed away on March 22, 1932. She is buried at the Columbus City Cemetery in Columbus, Cherokee County, Kansas.[11]
