Note from Alan V. Salazar to ZenKarla Salazar, 2009 June 15:
Hi, ZK, good to hear from you! By your great, great grandpa you of course mean Modesto Salazar and Adriana Tenio. We have no record of what they did for a living. Papang (Arcadio, Sr.) seldom spoke of his Dad Modesto and what I know was told me by your Dad Larry.
Modesto and Adriano had 13 children and they lived all their life in Guindulman, Bohol - so we can assume that they came from there. Modesto was a six-footer but Adriana was a five-footer. Besides we do not even know the name of their parents! That was the problem in those days. There were no written records - everything was by word of mouth.
There is only 1 tribe in Cebu, the Cebuanos but if you talk to them they refer to themselves as Sugbuanons. If you send me your mailing address I'll send you a copy of the Salazar Family Tree. Your Auntie Janet and my daughter Rosamond are the ones in charge of this now but they have not come up with an updated copy yet. Best wishes on your wedding.
