Lieut. Nathan married Abigail Stone in RI - children included Sally, Ambrose & Cynthia

He was a Lieut. in the Co. which captured and burned the British schooner "Gaspee" in 1772

He is buried at Glenwood Cemetery, Homer, Cortland, NY
