Sarah (Salisbury) Groom was born in Derbyshire, England.

Sarah was born in 1855. [1] She was the daughter of Thomas Salisbury and Anne Johnson, and she was Christened on 28 December 1855 at Church Broughton.[2]

Sarah likely lived with her family in Church Broughton where her father was a Farmer, until she married in 1878 [3] [4]

On 15 October 1878 Sarah married William Groom in Church Broughton. William was a Coachman, age 27, living in Church Broughton, son of Robert Groom, Labourer. [5] [6] [7] They remained in Church Broughton, and had 5 children between 1880 and 1889, but after 1881 [8] and before 1891, when they are found in Bucknall, Hanley, Stoke on Trent, they had been in Ruyton, Shropshire where their last two children were born. [9]

Sarah (age 38) died in 1894 and was buried on 9 August 1894 in Bucknall, St Mary, Staffordshire, England, [10][11] and her death was registered in the Jul-Aug-Sep quarter of 1894 in the Stoke Upon Trent district.[12]
