Anna Munn (Salisbury) Swarthout was born on 9 Jul 1812 in Schoharie, New York, United States. Her parents were Henry Simpson Salisbury (1771 - 1866) and Rachel (Stone) Salisbury (1774 - 1853).

Her brother was John H Salisbury (1807 - 1870).

Anna married James O Swarthout (1810 - 1881) in 1833 in Schoharie.

Anna died on 10 Apr 1876 in Argusville, Schoharie, New York aged 63.
