Guillieaume Salle married twice:[1]

Elizabeth, they married circa 1727. Elizabeth may have been the daughter of Antoine Gevedon. William Salle patented 1200 acres in Goochland on 12 January 1746/7 and this land was included in a patent of 1978 acres in Albemarle County on 12 May 1759.[1] "William Sale of the Parish of St Anns in the County Of Albemarle" sold his realty in King William Parish Cumberland County, Virginia in Mary 1750.[1] "William Sallie, Senior" advertised land for sale in 1771 the County of Buckingham (divided from Albemarle in 1762).[1] "William Sally Senr" was taxed in Buckingham on land in 1782, and on personalty each year from 1782 until 1789, after which in 1790 "Wm Sallee Estt" was taxed.[1]

William Salle also known as Sallee died on 15 February 1789.[citation needed]

Magdelaine, William's widow, survived him and was last recorded on the reality lists in 1803.[1]

Biography

Guillaume (English: William) Salle was born in 1705.[1] Guillaume was the son of Abraham Salle and his wife, Olive Perrault.[1]

Guillume "William" Salle was born on February 20, 1705, in Henrico County, Virginia to Olive Olympia Perrault, age 30, and Abraham Salle, age 30. He married Elizabeth ca. 1719. She died in 1742. He then married Marie Magdelaine Chastain and they had eight children together. He died on February 15, 1789, in Buckingham County, Virginia, having lived a long life of 83 years.
