Biography
Laura was b. 8-6-1856 near the present town of Perry, S.C. She was the first child of John Martin Salley, and his wife, Marcilla Rebecca Corbett. Attended public and private schools of that time. Baptist. Fancy work. flowers. m. 12-26 1876, John Benjamin Corbett, b. 1853, d. 8-17-1906, son of Capt. William H. Corbett, B. 1812, d. 1862 and Ursula Corbett, b. 1828, d. 1888, Perry, S.C. Issue (7)
Laura passed away in 1916, heart attack. Buried in the Corbett Cemetery near Salley, S.C. [1]
