Located on Rocky Swamp where it operated for a few years and then moved to Springfield. They built a stable on R.R. Avenue and added farm supplies and related items. For 2 years they operated a sale stable in Orangeburg on Amelia Street. B.M. "Mack" was in charge of this operation, driving down and back each day during the fall and winter months. In 1892 he joined the Salley Rifles, a local military company based at Salley. During the year he was promoted to 2nd Lieut. After his marriage 12-25-1892 to Lou Belle Tyler, he resigned from the company. She b. 7-10-1875, d. 4-19-1963, daughter of Joseph L. Tyler, 1842-1877 & Elizabeth Johnson, 1837-1899.
