William Salmon was born in 1869 and baptised on 16 Sep 1869 at Saint Werburgh, Hoo, Kent, England. He was the son of James Salmon and Ann Pointer.[1][2]
In the 1871 census, William Salmon was age 1 living at Clay Hill, Hoo, Kent with his father James Salmon (41), mother Ann Salmon (37), siblings Henry Salmon (14), Elizabeth Salmon (9), George Salmon (7), Thomas Salmon (5).[3]
In the 1881 census, William Salmon was age 12 living at Broad St Wood, Hoo, Kent with his father James Salmon (55), mother Ann Salmon (47), siblings Henry Salmon (23), Thomas Salmon (14), Emma Salmon (9), grandmother Elizabeth Pointer (67).[4]
William Salmon died in 1887 age 18 at sea on the ship Levanter. The location is not specified but the death was registered at Saint Olave Southwark, London which might suggest it was a barge operating on the Thames.[5][6]
