"Their sixth child, Matilda (previously mentioned) married Joe Clarke, who, for many years, owned and ran a Newsagency in the east end of puckle Street, Moonee ponds. They had seven children; the first and third child, both died before reaching 2 years. Their second child was Milly, born 8/12/1887 and died 12/10/1955, thus making her 97 years old. Olive, also her granddaughter Cheryl may have more information, if one so desires to contact them. Their fourth child was Ellen (Nelly) who also died in 1985. Their fifth and sixth were two boys, who both served overseas in the 1st A.I.F. of W.W.I. Their seventh and last child was Violet, or Vi."[6]
